About me

A bit of a political geek from a stupidly early age I have had many roles in the Labour Party

  • Chair of the South East Region Labour Party.
  • President of a Trades Union
  • Borough Councillor
  • Police and Crime Commissioner Candidate
  • NEC member
  • Chair of the NEC
After years of seeing the Labour movement spend more time fighting itself than for members and those it purports to support it became clear that it was time to move on. I was also completely disgusted at the way women are treated and supporters ignored.

I was very pro Brexit and joined UKIP in the fight for Brexit. Now I am that popular political commodity - the floating voter.

Currently studying for a Masters in Political Psychology it is refreshing watching the monkeys rather than being one of them.

To me politics is more about psychology than ideology. Politics should be about representing people and not about shoving ideology down the electorates throat. To represent people you have to understand them and work with what is and not what should happen in an ideal world.

I am heading up a Wellness programme in a community garden that my councillor friend and I began in a moment of madness two years ago - just in time for Covid! Through this role I have become passionate about homelessness.

I am currently writing a book on the lack of equality in the Labour movement, a lot is said but not much done.

I love political debate but if you think that trolling me is going to be fun - it won't be, I'll just fall asleep.
